CULTURE: A Batman or Commissioner Gordon uses an e-cigarette!

If you still need proof of the popularity of the electronic cigarette in society, this news might please you! In the first volume of the comic book Batman: The Dark Prince Charming“, We find the famous Commissioner Gordon in full smoking cessation with an electronic cigarette in his hand.

EVEN IN BATMAN, THE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE FINDS HER PLACE!

In this first volume « Batman: The Dark Prince Charming", Marini has for the first time decided to reinterpret the black knight in Franco-Belgian comics. And the rehabilitation goes so far as to deal with the smoking cessation of an important character in the DC series: Commissioner Gordon

A cigar lover, a pipe enthusiast or an inveterate smoker, the character has a real history of smoking and nicotine to the point that some fans have asked questions on the subject. Stress, cancer probably due to smoking, Commissioner Gordon seems to have a heavy liability with the world of tobacco which has evolved throughout the saga. Sometimes the character smokes, sometimes he is not a smoker to such an extent that fans of the dark knight find it difficult to understand this choice of the writers. Indeed, we have known for years that tobacco kills ...

With her comic strip, Marini made a different choice by proposing another alternative! This time, Commissioner Gordon opts for risk reduction using an electronic cigarette. Obviously, this will not please everyone but this choice sends back a positive image for vaping.

DARGAUD EDITIONS FIGHT AGAINST TOBACCO!

But this form of comic book smoking is clearly not a first. Remember Lucky Luke, who used to walk around "fag in the mouth" and suddenly went to the twig. Indeed, in 1983, Morris had made the choice to replace the emblematic cigarette of Lucky Luke. If Lucky Luke wasn't living in the Old West maybe he would also be using an electronic cigarette in 2018.

Simple coincidence or reality, the comic strip "Lucky Luke" and the first volume of "Batman: The Dark Prince Charming" were published by the same publishing house: Dargaud. Can we consider that the Dargaud editions fight in their own way against smoking? Everyone will have their own idea on the subject!

The comic strip "Batman: The Dark Prince Charming" by Marini edited by Dargaud is now available for 15 €.
