A plague that the SMEREP, social security student, explains very present at « young people and addiction to psychoactive products, such as cannabis, added to this addiction. ». In a press release, student social security explains that « 26% of students are smokers, of whom 15% of them smoke every day ». On these smokers, they are near 64% to declare that they do not wish to quit in the next 12 months. The reason for the consumption of tobacco is not really related to stress, but especially to a much more vicious form.
Tobacco consumption among high school students
Indeed, a majority of the smokers interviewed explain « it's a pleasure for them to smoke and they do not want to stop ». An even more worrying figure among high school students who say they are 75% like not wanting to stop smoking. The numbers among high school students are disturbing. If 79% of them explain that they are not smokers, « the SMEREP study also reveals that nearly 10% of high school students smoke every day. They are in total 20% to be smokers, of which 73% do not wish to stop smoking in the next 12 months ». More « nearly 20% of high school students who have ever used cannabis had less than 15 years old the first time »explains the statement.
