UNITED KINGDOM: A survey announces that 25% of high school students have already used e-cigarettes!

According to a survey of National Health Service (NHS) published a few days ago, e-cigarette use among schoolchildren in Britain has remained stable over the past two years, with a quarter of students having used the devices.

A PROPORTION OF STABLE VAPOTEURS AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

E-cigarettes remain more popular than traditional cigarettes in the UK: 16% of the 13 students surveyed in 000 said they had tried smoking before.

The survey, which assessed the habits of children aged 11 to 15, says the popularity of vaping remains stable. The previous 2016 survey showed the same figure at 25%, down from 22% in 2014, when questions about e-cigarettes were first included in the survey.

« This reassures us that our regulations are working and that vapers have not become the “super cool” phenomenon of young English people but that it is said to be in the United States." , wrote Deborah Arnott, executive director Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), in a statement.

When asked about attitudes towards e-cigarettes, more than one-third of those surveyed said they could accept that people of their age would try an e-cigarette to "see what it looks like". Ordinary cigarette consumption is down, down by 3 percentage points from 2016.

In another update released Monday by Public Health England, the health organization maintained its position that e-cigarettes are significantly less harmful than smoking.

«In summary, the best estimates show that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful to health than normal cigarettes"Writes the body.

The NHS survey showed that illicit drug and alcohol testing remains relatively stable among school-aged children.
