The market for tobacco and its derivatives has been disrupted since 2005 by the eruption of the electronic cigarette (or e-cigarette). Beyond the economic sector, the vaping still provokes debates in the world of health as to its benefits in the face of the global health catastrophe caused by tobacco consumption. He appeared for many as a possible way to get rid of the scourge of tobacco. In use, the reality is more complex!
Conference organized by the ANPAA 85 (National Association of Prevention in Alcoology and Addictology), on the occasion of its 50 years of actions on the department of Vendée.

- Christian Ben Lakhdar
Professor of economics at the University of Lille and researcher in economics of addictive behavior, he leads many conferences in France and Europe on this subject. He participated in the 1er working group of the 1er opinion of the High Council of Public Health and piloted the 2nd opinion on the issue of the benefit-risk balance of the electronic cigarette. - Valérie Guitet
