UNITED STATES: People in Florida vote to ban e-cigarettes in public places.

In the month of November, voters in Florida in the United States will have to vote on many measures. Among these, a potential ban on electronic cigarettes in public places (restaurants, bars and shops, etc.).

A PROPOSAL THAT NEEDS 60% OF YOUR VOTING TO ENTER THE CONSTITUTION!

Voters in Florida will soon have the option to ban vaping in public places including restaurants and businesses. Every 20 years, a commission meets to suggest changes to the Florida Constitution. Among the proposals, we also find a ban on oil drilling in territorial waters ...

These proposals were approved by the commission on Monday, they will be presented to voters in November and must be approved at 60% to enter the constitution.

This famous provision would actually be an extension of the ban on smoking indoors. In 2002, voters approved a ban on smoking in all commercial establishments. The lawmakers had proposed an exception for "autonomous bars", that is to say the places of drinking which do not draw more than 10% of their income thanks to food.

It now remains to be seen whether voters will vote “for” or “against” this ban on vaping in public places. Answer next November.
