UNITED KINGDOM: UKVIA proposes to severely punish the sale of vape to minors!

Even though vaping among minors is singled out by many governments and associations, in the United Kingdom, the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) tries to find solutions by proposing to quadruple the fine, which is currently 2 pounds, in the event of the sale of vaping products to a minor. For critics of the vape, this is obviously not enough and this choice is even qualified as " proposal to hide the responsibilities of the manufacturers"

UKVIA GETS WET BUT SUSPICION REIGNS!

Nothing ever seems enough for the detractors of the electronic cigarette who, under the guise of wanting public health with small onions, come to go against the principles of risk reduction, which are nevertheless essential.

La UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) equivalent of the FIVAPE in France proposes to quadruple the current fine to bring it to 10.000 pounds, in the event of the sale of vaping products to a minor. It is a real position in favor of a more responsible vape that the UKVIA proposes with this declaration.

However, it is no surprise that this position does not seem to convince certain health organisations, such as Action on Smoking and Health (ASH-UK)) equivalent ofAlliance Against Tobacco (ACT) or National Committee Against Smoking (NCTC). Indeed, these organizations continue to call for a ban on puffs or even electronic cigarettes while denying the beneficial impact that these can have on public health.

It is difficult in this context to hope for a conciliation in the weeks, months or even years to come on this subject, which is nevertheless essential in the fight against smoking.
