According to the latest France Vapotage / Harris Interactive barometer, published on February 6, 2024 and written by Monsieur Vapoteur, a survey was carried out to explore the opinion of the French concerning electronic cigarettes compared to tobacco, in terms of discomfort felt in society , especially with regard to smoke and odor. The results of the survey, carried out online from October 6 to 12, 2023 on a sample of 3 people representative of French people aged 204 and over, reveal that:
- 48% of respondents consider the electronic cigarette to be a less annoying product than tobacco.
- 28% believe that the electronic cigarette is a product neither more nor less annoying than tobacco.
- 9% consider electronic cigarettes more annoying than tobacco.
- 15% do not comment on the question.
These data highlight a relatively positive perception of electronic cigarettes compared to tobacco, with almost half of French people finding them less bothersome, which could (finally?) reflect a growing acceptance of vaping in French society.
